Enjoy helping people and pets? Our clinic is looking for a passionate, people-oriented employee to join our clinic and help run the day-to-day office. We offer small animal medicine (cat/dog) with blended integrative care, chiropractic, acupuncture, and rehabilitation. Experience in the veterinary field, preferably with interactions with the public, is required. This position's routine hours are Monday through Friday 7:30-12 and 1-6/7 but a rotating Saturday shift from 7:30am to noon is required. Typical shifts are 7:30-12, 1-6p. The clinic closes at 6, and the staff finishes up the day's tasks before leaving. We try to be as flexible as possible with the schedule to help maintain work-life balance for staff and support the clinic.
The main duties of this position include being a vibrant and positive face for the clinic, helping to maintain the office, speaking with clients and communicating between staff, answering the phone, checking clients in for appointments and entering information in computer database, checking out patients and handling payment exchanges, and documenting all client interactions in the electronic medical record. The candidate must be able to multi-task and complete duties with many interruptions while maintaining a positive attitude. CSRs are amazing assets to the practice and they are the backbone of our clinic. You’ll interact with each and every owner who has a beloved pet coming to see us.
Clear, polite, kind and professional communication at all times is a must. You will be charged with relaying information from doctors to clients with accuracy as well as listening to client questions, concerns or complaints in a sympathetic manner. Basic medical knowledge to help triage phone calls is preferred but not required. The duties encompassed by this position are varied and require efficiency and an ability to communicate well with all personalities.
